Lunch

Today at work Arnie was heading out to lunch and asked if I wanted to join him. This is code for "I will buy you lunch," so I ran to not keep him waiting. We went to a deli and got soup and split a sandwich. It was a little weird.

Arnie: I'm not in a good mood. Guess that makes me bad company, sorry.
Me: That's okay I'm not in a good mood either.
Arnie: You? You're always so perky (I am?). Why are you in a bad mood?
Me: Because I did something for someone else that would mean a lot to me but won't mean a lot to the person I did it for and that makes me feel stupid. Why are you in a bad mood?
Arnie: I think Kyle is stealing from the company.
Me: ... You win.

He laughed. He bought us each a black & white cookie and we walked back to the office. In the elevator Arnie asked me if there's anything I should be telling him about Kyle. Awk-ward! I didn't know what to say.
