The only time I don't like you

Josh told me today that it makes him not like me when he hears me yelling at my sisters. That I'm never ever as mean as I am when I'm angry at them. So I suck. Great. I don't know what to do with this information.

Nobody else pisses me off as much as they do. I mean, other people do, but I let it go because I don't care about them. I actually give a shit about my sisters.

Edited to add:
No, Craig will not see me randomly.

Does Josh read this blog? I'm sure he'd totally understand if he knew that you shouted at them because you care so much for them.
It's really hard not to lose your temper sometimes, when I babysit for my cousins sometimes I almost blow my top! Must be 100x harder for you.

I've never loved someone or hated someone as passionately as I have my brother. Never yelled, fought, thrown things or tried to kill anyone else.

When Josh said that, I bet he was upset by that behavior, but that doesn't mean he thinks you suck. Ask him how his parents expressed their anger at him. That's probably the form that he's comfortable hearing anger 'done'. Anything outside that might freak him out?

I was raised in a highly emotive Italian family. Translation: we yelled a lot.
Many of my beaus, and a few of my friends, were quite unused to yelling when happy, glad and especially mad at the people we've loved. It has been difficult.
OTRgirl makes a good point
and
you don't suck.

I haven't commented in a while, but I still catch up on your posts once in a while.

Everyone is right--parents yell because they love their kids and it's an emotional reaction. And some families yell more than others. You don't suck at all--you just love your sisters.
