I wore a dress and flip flops to school today and brought nicer shoes in my messenger bag for work in the afternoon. It is so summery out today that I even got italian ices on my way to work. It's not my dress, and I don't like it on me. It made me look fat because it's so filmy but it was the first one I found and Danielle wasn't going to wear it.
When are you supposed to stop wearing clothes from the girls section and switch to the women's section? I am 18 & 1/2 and go back and forth. I didn't see Becca today but she would have been excited that I wasn't wearing black today.

It's the revenge of the east coasters. On Easter, I called a friend in upstate NY and my MIL in Staten Island. Both of them went on and on about how warm and nice it was. They asked how the weather was for us. On Sunday it was raining HARD and really cold! (gloves, hats, sweaters cold).
As for clothes, I'm 38 and still get some stuff from the junior department, some from women's. Just depends what works for me.
Part of it is figuring out your style and what works on your body and with the people you need to 'impress'. I once had a supervisor tell me that a good way to be seen as promotable was to 'dress for the next level'. So, in a given social situation, what's the appropriate level for the group. Symphony crowd vs. beach crowd, etc.
At 18, you definitely need to be dressing from the juniors' section. Girls clothing is just that, made for girls. Meaning the cut and style are made for girls not women. Including the quality of material used. Clothing and how you wear it is how others perceive you :-)
