Maybe I Did It Wrong

Last night I smoked weed with my friend. It was my first time but not the first time I've been around it. I'm thinking I did it wrong because I didn't feel like acting the way all the other people who smoke up act. There was no point where I stared at the ceiling and laughed at nothingness. Nothing weird happened when I waived my hand in front of my face. I had no trouble walking.

It kind of made me feel a tiny bit more mellow but not a lot - just like, yeah things that pissed me off still did but that was okay, and Kimber and I ate a second dinner and then snack and then we went to sleep and that was it. It was perfectly nice.

What am I missing?

the only thing i felt on my first time when i was 15 was this mellowness,a slightly dry mouth plus a weird tingling in my feet, as if they had just woken up after being asleep from me sitting on them.
the next time may be quite different, you never know. depends on the weed, how much you actually inhale, and i think some on your general mood on that night too.
there are people who claim that your first high will not be as noticeable because your brain has to get used to the drug first, but i'm not sure if i believe that.
i'm not a person to preach against smoking weed, i personally believe that it's a far less harmful drug than alcohol if you use it in moderation, but that doesn't make it any more legal while alcohol is widely accepted as a recreational drug.
the only advice i would give is, don't mix it with alcohol. you'll be much more likely to experience uncomfortable side effects, such as nausea, disorientation and loss of self-control.
and take care about that lung infection. while weed can actually be somewhat beneficial for bronchial asthma, tobacco isn't. whatever you mix into that spliff you inhale into your lungs.

Not a thing.

You aren't usually going to see anything. You'll just feel nice and mellow and relaxed, and maybe a bit giggly. Unless you smoke a LOT, at which point all bets are off.

After a few years, it just made me tired so I didn't bother anymore.

It affects different people in different ways. I think your 2nd dinner + snacks is proof that you did get high ;-0

Not really the big deal you were expecting? That's why its a gateway drug - be careful!
