Yeah I know, it's a stretch. I'm desperate here though. Somebody leave me a comment on how to write about home. I gotta do the whole rest of the month.
Yeah so Homer. Like Homer Simpson? I was not allowed to watch the simpsons for the longest time. My mother thought it would be a bad influence and she didn't want my sisters seeing it either.
Topher used to sneak and let me watch sometimes and so would my grandmother. "I'm going to visit grandma!" and we'd run downstairs, yell hi to her, and flip on the tv.
Weekends and summers were when cartoons were allowed. That's why it was good to live so close to a grandma who believed in spoiling little kids.

I think your posts have been interesting. Why not a post or two about the city itself (hometown)? I love your "overheard in nyc" type posts, so I'm sure you've got more to say about that. Parts of the city you love, maybe other stuff not so much? Maybe a post about what people assume about your city, and what it's really like to live there. I know you've already touched on this, but maybe certain foods that are just really homey to you? Could you ever see yourself calling another city/state/even country home, ten years down the road? You mentioned that right now this is just where you live, and not home. If you could have a home for you and your sisters, what would you do to make it "home" for all of you? What do you like/what makes you comfortable in other people's homes? These are just some ideas, feel free to ignore them if they don't do it for you or if you feel they've already been answered.
I like Stacey's idea. Here's a few: homework, homeroom, home is where the heart is, home sick, homebody, homely, future home, past home, dream home... That's all I can come up with right now - good luck! :)
