My Plan
I'm not going to be old enough to vote this fall. For the next election I will be though. My plan is that we'll move to some state where it's mostly Republican, so my vote will count more than it would in New York.

I think your vote would count most in a purple state - one where the race is close, like Florida or Ohio. Move to a good red state like Nebraska and you'll never vote for a winner.
I agree with Carol. Move to a state that's usually up for grabs. Parts of Connecticut are very Republican though--your vote could matter on a state or local level.
Ditto the above, purple...regardless you should have your voice be heard when you decide where to settle, take part in the public discourse. I think it's great you're even thinking along these lines, once again showing how wise beyond your years you are.
