Maybe staying at Josh's isn't a good idea. The smoke seems worse than ever, I screamed for so long at Craig about Aunt Elaine that by the time our time was up my throat hurt, our bedroom seems smaller than it used to be a week ago.
We are not in trouble over the kitten scratches. Josh is all tan and pretty. He said his parents really liked that we left them breakfast and his dad ate two bagels the first morning. I am glad we didn't screw anything up really big. It would be so awkward if Josh's parents were angry at me.
Danielle asked if we can leave here at the end of June when school ends instead of at the end of August. She is noticing how horrible it is here now that we stayed at Josh's too.

Your aunt should be charged with child endangerment. I'm not just talking about the long-term effects of second-hand smoke, something for which you and your sisters will need to be checked for the rest of your lives, but it is so clear that you three suffer immediate and persistent physical distress and complications from all the constant smoke in the small apartment.
And the money spent on cigarettes could pay for food, clothing, even beds, maybe even a better place to live.
If your aunt never leaves the apartment, who buys cigarettes for her?
The sooner you all can move out on your own, the better. Looking for a lease that begins August 1st might be smart.
What steps have you taken so far to arrange matters legally? When do you turn eighteen? When do you hear about your college applications? Weren't they rolling admissions?
One good thing about time you spend at Josh's is that you always seem to identify attributes you will want in your own place -- this time, for instance, a dining room or some sort of space for a dining room table, and a location where it is safe for a young girl to do errands alone. It's good to clearly know these things.
I'm SO frustrated for all three of you about the situation in the apartment. It sounds miserable.
