The aftermath of my life after 9/11, when half my family died. How I am struggling to come back to the self my mother used to love and be proud of while still letting myself grow.

Magic exists
Al's ear still hurts today and she still ate a lot less but she had more energy and didn't cry. I guess unless she complains more I won't take her to the doctor?

My three-year-old daughter gets lots of ear infections, and they do sometimes clear up with antibiotics, but you want to be careful about ear infections. Alex could lose her hearing, so it's important for her to be seen by a doctor. Here is more info about ear infections: http://www.earsite.com/ear_infections/otitis_media.html
By the way, I love your blog and I think you are doing such a great job with your sisters. Congratulations on finishing your first year of college and choosing a major.
Take it from a grandmother. Ear infections are sneaky and can cause a lot of trouble. Take her to the doctor, please, just to make sure her eardrum is not about tp perforate or something equally gross.
