Is this what they mean by rich people problems?

I wasn't kidding the other day when I said after this past weekend, I'm all set for a few years in terms of vacations. It would make me uncomfortable to skip work for two weeks or even a week, really. When you're in an all out sprint for so long, it feels wrong to start jogging aimlessly all of a sudden.

Josh is going to work for his dad this summer. He's going to start after July 4th. So the other night he said that since he's not working right now and I am, it's kind of like he's a house husband. Alex told him he's a stay at home dad. Josh looked like he wanted to throw up.

So today when I got up Josh had put towels in the bathroom for after showers. He'd made three lunches for us. Wait, let's talk about the lunches because they are funny. Josh basically made boy lunches. He probably gave me about a pound of roast beef, along with eight cookies, a bottle of iced tea, and some candy. Then as if it was an after-thought, he threw in four baby carrots. The other two lunches were pretty much the same.

Danielle came home and told me she'd found three slices of leftover pizza, a pink lemonade, a blowpop, an almost-full can of cashews, and then two little florets of broccoli. As far as we've come, clearly I still have a lot more work to do on Josh.

Dani got home first and Josh offered her a snack. She said okay and he handed over a can of whipped cream. Alex and I got home and we all sat around for a while. When Alex asked what was for dinner Josh got up, walked over to the kitchen cabinet and took out a binder we have full of takeout menus. Tossed it on Alex's lap and told her to pick.

Right now I am not sure why I am still awake. But I will blame it on my eating today.

It's really sweet that he tried! I'm laughing about the lunches and dinner. Hilarious.

That's hilarious. My husband would totally do things like that. I think the only reason he doesn't is that I do the shopping and we don't keep stuff like that in the house.
