Him: Are you okay?
Me: Yeah
Him: You sure?
Me: No
Him: You're acting like somebody else
Me: Who?
Him: I don't know. But not you.
Me: Okay
Him: Are you coming back to you, or is this like a new you?
Me: I don't know
Him: Are you sick?
Me: I don't know
Him: Are you mad at me?
Me: No
Him: Are you sure?
Me: No
Him: What?! Why?
Me: Cuz you won't shut up
Him: What?
Me: Stop asking so many questions
Him: Well screw you then

Dear Sam,
I'm so sorry for all you've been through. It sounds like it might be catching up with you and I hope you can get some counseling through your college to help you get through this rough patch. From what you've said about Josh on the blog, he loves you very much and only wants to help. Please let him do that.
Would it be possible for you to have a small break from some of your responsibilities? Maybe even a long weekend where you only have to worry about yourself. I have two young children, and I know it saves my sanity to have a little time once in a while where I don't have to take care of anyone other than myself. Perhaps your friend Jackie or Becca would go on an overnight with you somewhere nearby. Or maybe you could stay in one of the youth hostels there in New York and play tourist. That should be fairly inexpensive. Just a couple of suggestions.
It's overwhelmingly sad what happened to you, and it's understandable that you would have times like these. Please give your loved ones a chance to take care of you now.
Sincerely,
Noelle
