Teen mom

Not me. The tv show on MTV. The Teen Mom that's a spinoff of 16 and Pregnant. Honestly, right after my sisters dying, that's my worst nightmare. To wake up pregnant and somehow unable to get an abortion and being stuck having a baby. Not that that's what happened to all those girls - maybe they actively chose not to have abortions. Although I can't really understand why. I mean, I know the regular reasons but I can't understand them personally. Anyway, my sister wanted me to watch with her so we watched a marathon while I did outlines for school.

There's this one girl whose boyfriend is obese and she just screams at him all the time. It's hard to see why on earth he likes her - he must have low self-esteem or something to put up with her nagging. She only ever whines or screams, but never talks.

Then there's a red-headed girl named Maci who seems kind of smart, except outrageously stupid about boys. Although maybe boys who talk slowly due to their Southern drawl just appear dumb to me, but they're really just slow-talkers who are smart. Her son's father Ryan seems to have zero interest in being a father. His own parents are pushing him to go after having the baby more often but he doesn't act like he cares. He never takes care of the baby by himself either - he's always with his parents or new girlfriend or friends.

There is a girl who seems very uptight and her relationship with her mother is so bad that the mother got arrested for punching her in the face or something. This girl thought that was a good environment to bring a baby into? Oh, and she had no relationship with the baby's father (I despise the term 'baby daddy'), and now it seems he's died so there's no chance of it in the future.

Lastly, there are these two kids who are seniors in high school who are perfectly nice, and they had a baby when they were juniors and gave it up for adoption because they felt their home lives were too chaotic. Ironically they seem like the ones who'd make the best parents. I kind of hope that 15 years from now they're still a couple and get married and have a kid and keep that one.

The whole thing is so weird. It seems like such a screwed up thing to have a tv show about. MTV should have a disclaimer at the beginning and end of each episode saying it's much harder than it's portrayed on the show.

Also, how come all the girls always have perfect makeup? If this is really reality, then I owe Josh a huge apology. Because I slap on sunscreen and lip gloss and nothing else on a daily basis. All the girls on the show have perfect hair and makeup all the time. I can't manage that and I don't even have a baby. How do they have time for that?

Josh told me that his mother always looked perfectly put-together, but when I asked how she had time he pointed out that he always had a nanny and housekeeper. So at least he doesn't know either. And I'll take what he said to mean that he doesn't expect perfect makeup and hair from me. I hope.

ooo teen mom, its pretty addictive but just soo stupid, you can feel your brain cells slowly dying as you watch it.
And I agree with you on the whole abortion thing. I dont understand why someone of that age would decide to have a baby regardless of how much money they may have.

I've never seen the show, but my guess is they have perfect makeup because they're on TV. Before the cameras start rolling, probably even on reality shows, there are people who make sure that all the special photographic lighting won't make the stars look dead.
