Someone you need to let go, or wish you didn't know

Nobody. I know this is supposed to inspire a big revealing blog post where I share my innermost thoughts or whatever. That's not gonna happen here. My world is pretty tiny and the people in it have basically been hand-picked to be there. Or something.

What? Not the apple-picking passport dude? (kidding).

It's a weird question, huh? If you were still with Aunt Elaine, would it be an easier answer?

I get the sense that the people you wish you didn't know, you've already let go of.

LOL I'd've said the flashing dad of that tutoring kid. There's something it'd be better not to think about.

I just wanted to leave some words of encouragement, because you've really inspired me. Your writing is awesome and real.

I'm in college full-time now. I'd love to know how you do your outlines, and how you're doing in classes.

Thanks for helping me re-discover the girl inside me; I feel like, reading you took me back to graduating high school and first 'living' college. Your blog -the fact that you made it public when you didn't have to- is definitely appreciated.

OTR, besides D&A my aunt is the only other person we really had solid contact with who knew our mom even if it was a long time ago. There was something in that for me.

Anon 11:33, that's totally it.

Just, I'm not a fan of the traditional outline format so I don't do them. There are a lot of dashes and indentations in my notes, and definitions are highlighted in one color, and deadlines and assignments are highlighted in another.

I have been reading a little bit of your blog starting at the beginning, every night before I go to bed. You are a very interesting person, Sam. I hear so much of the young girl in you still, and yet you are so grown up. I guess you had no choice in that. I'm happy to have been referred here by my friend, Snickollet.

I just discovered your blog, and it is fascinating. I wish you would post pictures of you and your sisters!

Where is Josh going to school? Are you at Hunter?

thanks for the comment on my blog...and I love your blog. I'm still working my way through the archives. (I found your blog on a link from Snickollet's blog.) Your writing is genuine and interesting.

(I really wanted to post a response to the flasher post, but couldn't think of anything smarter than ewwww.)

I feel that I should introduce myself now that I have just spent 2 days reading most of your archives. I followed the link on Snickollet's blog too.

I am Sam too, and I have to say that you are a very interesting person. I love your writing style - I think you write like how I talk, even though I am a 35 year old suburban housewife. I use the word "retarded" liberally even thought it's not too PC in my circle. It just has a lot of emphasis behind it, you know?

Anyway, I think you have carved a pretty good life out for yourself and your sisters despite the odds, and I hope you can pat yourself on the back for that. And also, Josh should teach Man Classes. I'd sign my husband up for them in a heartbeat. I've kissed a lot of frogs - Josh is surely a Prince. He's a keeper! And he's equally as lucky to have you, I hope you know. :)
