Summertime in the winter

I got a call today from the couple who've given scholarships to the performing arts camp all three of us have gone to in the past. We had thought this past summer was Al's last, because she was going into high school and just figured she was too old to keep going to camp.

Turns out we were totally wrong. You can go to the camp through 12th grade. The woman was calling to see if Al wants to go back next summer because she had the impression Al thought last summer was her last. I don't know what exactly made us decide Alex was too old for camp. Maybe we thought it was just that she is in high school and old enough to get a mother's helper job or something.

Tonight at dinner I asked Alex if she wants to dance all summer. Stupid question. So I let her call the lady back to say she'd absolutely love to go back. Danielle asked her to find out if she could be a CIT. I don't know why, but it always makes me feel better if they're both in the same place if I'm not with them. So there is potential here.

Danielle found a lavender peacoat at Old Navy today that is a tiny bit big, and was marked down to $30 so she got it. So now Alex has Danielle's coat and we are going to give Al's old one away. I hate Dani's new coat and was bummed she got one I don't like enough to borrow, but I am trying to be nice about it by getting her gloves and a scarf that will match it.

The coat caper worked! Sorry you didn't end up with one you'd like to borrow, but so happy it worked for your sisters.
And yea! about the camp. Wonderful news. I know it's hard running everything, but you seem to have a total handle on how to make things work.
