So much worse

I am not breathing right. I can not stop coughing. I am either freezing or burning at all times. When I am cold I wear gloves inside the house and pile blankets and towels on my side of the bed. When I am hot I strip down to just my panties; Josh wouldn't let me open the window. Can't regulate my breathing with my talking so I'm constantly choking on air. In the last two days I have only slept about six hours, due to being either too hot or too cold.

Managed to call Doug before the end of business. Left a message saying I didn't think the inhaler, although helping, was helping enough. When he called back, he told me to come to his office before his first appointment in the morning. I told him my sister's in a play and I need to be there in the afternoon. He pointed out all my coughing would distract the actors. That's true. Doug suggested I call Laurie or Tom, ask them to meet me at his office. When I said it was okay, he kind of laughed, and corrected me. "That wasn't a suggestion."

That can't be good, right? Maybe I have a tumor on my lung and that's why I can't breathe.

I'm thinking pneumonia not a tumor. I had double pneumonia a few years back and it presented almost identically to what you're describing. Not fantastic but not a tumor. Feel better!

Sam -
I've been reading for months. I enjoy every word. Breathing stuff can be scary. I am thinking of you.
Sending healing vibes...and some hair brushing vibes too.

it sounds like pneumonia, not a tumor. Hope you feel better soon.

Yeah, sounds like pneumonia. My ex had it once when he worked too many hours and didn't sleep enough. Was scary but easy enough to fix.

No tumours.

Feel better. Ginger ale for you!

Maybe bronchitis and you need antibiotics....

Yep, sounds like pneumonia. I had it last year, of the "walking pneumonia" variety.

I would definitely say pneumonia. I had it a few years ago and I remember the awful fevers and coughing. Took me 2 rounds of antibiotics and lots of rest to recover. Feel better!!

I was thinking pneumonia from your earlier post... hope you get on antibiotics immediately. That's something that can really put you down for a while. Feel better!

Pneumonia, definitely likely. I agree with the rest. Breathing issues are scary as hell...get to that doc and get well soon. Go on vacation part deux to Tom and Laurie's.

Everything will be ok! Just need to get that stuff treated.

Just another anonamommy who hopes that you feel better. I would bet the farm on either pneumonia or a bronchial infection which will be fine if you get on antibiotics soon, but which will likely require a hospitalization if you do not.

So, please soon to the doctor. Also, a pneumonia diagnosis typically requires an x-ray, so do not be alarmed if you are sent to get one.

All the best.

Reminds me of when I had walking pnuemonia. No fun, but highly treatable. The worst is after the chills and fever when the phlegm starts coming back up. Worth it to go to Laurie just so someone else can empty the cup...

Sending big hugs from below the Mason Dixon line. Glad you're bringing reinforcements. I'm thinkin' no tumor. Hang in there.
