Brunch ideas

I haven't been able to stop thinking about ideas for fire family brunches. Doing a full on party seems overwhelming but maybe we can mash together two families at a time.

A frittata is a must. Not sure what kind yet but even just saying it is fun. They're so easy to make too.

Once I saw this watermelon man thingie, with the base being watermelon and all its legs, arms and features made with other fruits and held together with toothpicks. Gotta figure out a way to make this.

Bambolini? My sister wants to do crepes, but that's really labor-intensive. Each one has to be made individually, and you can't whip up a bunch and then sit down to eat with everyone.

Josh was like "Just do bagels and lox," but we're Italian, not Jewish. Not that we don't like a good bialy but this is not what Italians want to serve to other Italians. They almost always feed us Italian dinners, not like, brisket.

You could also roast up a potato medley for an easy version of hash browns as a side. Make a bunch of fruit smoothies? I like the idea of doing a fruit sculpture. Or just the classic watermelon bowl could work for a fruit salad?

We tend to do breakfast as apposed to a lunch just at the 'brunch' time of day, scrambled eggs can be cooked and kept warm as well as toast, bacon, bacon sosages and fried banana and tomotoe with cheese. Cant wait to hear how it goes.

I love brunches, hosting or attending and I do a mix of both breakfast and lunchy items, can't wait to hear what you end up with but Fritatta and fruit salad are staples at mine too!
