I won't ask
Danielle and Laurie came back from shopping. I looked at Danielle. She shook her head, waved her hand and told me, "You really don't want to know." Then she marched into the room she and Alex are sharing and told Al all about it. Josh can not get back soon enough. I hope he hasn't changed a lot on his trip.

It'll be alright, I hope he gets back soon too, I'm sure he's looking forward to seeing you as well.
If you think about it, they were probably already planning to buy all this for their son. The only 'extras' are the towels and additional stuff for your sisters, right?
I agree that it can feel horrible to feel obligated and not to be the one providing everything you need for yourself. However, as others have said, they aren't holding this against you, so try to just say 'thank you' and not get buried under the weight of it. (Easier said than done, right?)
I'm now thinking that when Josh returns, it will be more like his parents are buying this stuff for him. What do you think?
