Josh agrees with the person who commented saying the guy from the Halloween party wants to have sex (to be honest, so do I.) With my little sister. It's not like I thought she'd never have sex or anything. I just ... never thought of her having sex. It's weird and I don't like feeling as if I'm giving her permission.
Danielle is allowed to go on her college date. Then Josh and I said a lot of other stuff to Dani after that.
1. She has to charge her phone and keep it on the entire time.
2. She has to bring enough money to take a taxi home.
3. She has to bring a condom.
4. We forced her to role play saying no. Multiple times. Multiple ways.
5. Josh forced her to participate in a self-defense crash course.
6. They have to stay in public places.
7. She is not to drink.
8. If she feels anything is shady she is to leave immediately and not worry about being rude or him being angry.
9. She is not to leave the city, or get in any cars that are not taxis.
I told Alex what's going on, and asked what she thinks.
Al: Is he cute?
Me: Yes
Al: Very cute or just averagely cute?
Me: What's the difference?
Al: If he's just averagely cute he'll be nicer than if he's drop dead gorgeous.
Me: Where do you get this shit?
Al: I read a lot. So what kind of cute is he?
Me: Nerdy cute. Like he'll grow up to do something boring with computers
Al: Perfect! Danners has my blessing.

I think you made a good decision. I would go one further step and get his first and last names, his address, and his cell phone number. Your rules for her are very, very sound. Good work there.
Excellent advice! I love that you role play things first. And I agree with getting his info before the date.
you are such a good sister, sounds like you have covered all the bases... great job!!!
Wow, great job! I hope I can do as well when my kids are teenagers.
Great solution. Maybe you can get his number too. I'm wondering if he knows how old she is?
My niece is thinking of going to CUNY (Hunter campus). She lives in a little town out west now, but she spent a semester last year living in Brooklyn. Is that where you go to school? Do you like it? If she's not a native New Yorker, will it all be just too much?
