I won't be one of them

During the school year I met some girls who didn't have any girl friends but they had boyfriends. They were always coming across as the type to say "he completes me." Said he was all she needed in terms of friendships.

Although I'm not very much of a girly girl, I definitely need to be around girls. Josh is great, but there is no way in hell he completes me, or can be my everything. I don't think Josh is naturally overly sensitive, but that his mom put a lot of effort into making him a boy that would make girls feel loved and heard. Yet when I was reading something and asked Josh absently if you can get pms even if you don't get your period he gave me a very typical guy response.

On the days I work the whole day it's a goal to go sit outside on my lunch hour for a while. You can do a lot of people-watching when you pretend to read around other people. Today I overheard a girl being broken up with. She kept switching between talking to her boyfriend and talking to her mom about what her boyfriend was saying to her. It seemed like he dumped her because she was too clingy. It was really ugly. She was doing the ugly cry and screaming at him that he was making a mistake. She'd say things like that, but then in the next breath tell him he was her only friend.

I had to go back to work before she finished her drama. When I left though, she was screaming at her mother to call in sick to her job because there was no way she could go to work after "this."
