Counteracting

Sometimes it's overwhelming for Josh to live with a bunch of girls. We really DO try to make it easier for him, but I don't think any of us feel particularly girly, so we don't always realize. Like once after dinner Josh was poking around the kitchen and when I asked why since we'd already had dinner, he started a fight about how a salad is not a proper dinner.

Like today after work when all three of us were on the floor, and Alex was french-braiding my hair and I was doing Danielle's. Danielle had my foot in her lap while she gave me a pedicure.

It was all too much for Josh. He walked in, looked at us, and shook his head and walked off. A minute later he came back drinking a beer and leaned on the wall, watching us.

Alex: Are you over-girlied?
Josh: Very
Me: Want us to find a bar fight on tv for you?
Josh: Yeah
Alex: Want to have steak for dinner?
Josh: Yeah
Dani: Want to crush your beer against your forehead with one hand?
Josh: Ye... well, this is glass.
Me: Want to put up pictures of half naked girls all over the house?

Josh finishes his beer and starts walking away. "Yeah. But first, blow me."

*He was making a Mel Gibson joke; not serious.

Usually it is you thinking up the clever responses so quickly (You're acting like somebody else/Who?, Do you want babies/To do what?) but this time it was Josh (about the glass). And you three were pretty fast with the boy behavior offers too. So good, these posts.

Is your follow-up appointment with the doctor tomorrow?
