Fall is my favorite season

It's decorative gourd season, motherfuckers! The cold snap that comes after four months of intense heat, the crunchy leaves, all the pumpkin-based foods, hot cocoa with mini-marshmallows, Halloween, the build-up to Thanksgiving, and then the second one, this time for Christmas. I love all of that.

Except it's not quite fall yet. It's still in the 70's in New York. While that's nice and all, it's not what I want in October. The spaghetti strap tank tops have been moved to the back of the drawer but the black wife-beaters are still in heavy rotation.

I'm just finished with summer. Finished with ice pops, finished with summer vegetables, with air-conditioning, sunscreen on shoulders, all of it.

Except for when there's fancy work, I wear black every day. This lack of fall is making me so depressed though, I want to wear something somehow darker than black. Which obviously is not possible. Which just goes to show how crazy this lack of colder weather is making me.
